Emily’s Upstairs Cottage

A fully equipped kitchenette adds self-catering convenience, and guests can enjoy a braai (barbecue) at the outside fireplace in the private patio area.  From this vantage point, you get a glimpse of the Atlantic and often hear the waves crashing on the beach.

While you may be enjoying this private space in a self-catering mode, rest assured that your hosts are a phone call away!  If you opt for a lazy morning without cooking, you can take a short walk to our sister guesthouse, Gonana Guesthouse, and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, an extensive continental buffet accompanied by a hot breakfast, at a small cost per person – just make advance arrangements with our Duty manager. Weather permitting, seating can be “al fresco” – on our communal terrace with breathtaking sea views.  Breakfast at the guesthouse could be a perfect start to your day of relaxation in Paternoster!
